We completely forgot to post this memorable photo of our dinner with fashion illustrator Julie Johnson. Julie (far right) has had her artwork featured in galleries and you’ll find her work in the personal collection of Oprah Winfrey,
WYRT brand manger, Brandon Graham, organized this get-together of New York fashion illustrators at Arno Ristorante back in September. Brandon said, “I heard Julie was going to be in town for the Fashion Island Design Competition and I contacted her to see if she would like to meet with some of the WYRT Fashion Drawing Session members. It was great to hear how she has been able to make a career out of her passion. Julie is a true inspiration.”
Last year Julie started a blog called Drawing Fashion with tips and tricks for fashion illustrators. The blog will lead into a book to further expand on the subjects covered.
