Don’t You Hate When Models Can’t Keep Still?

Drawing from a live model is a wonderful experience, right?  But what happens when your model won’t keep still like this little lady.  LOL

I’ve never gotten angry over a fashion illustration video, but this one got under my skin.  I couldn’t get over how much the model was moving.  I had to watch the video twice because I couldn’t take my eyes off the model’s constant movement the first time around.  Not only was she moving, she was striking different poses!  How is an illustrator suppose to capture a pose that changes every 2 minutes?  If it were me drawing I would have said, “Excuse me ‘Lady Who Can’t Keep Still’, this is not a photo shoot.  Keep still or go home.”  She’s lucky that the super talented Ohgushi was painting her and could compensate for her need to move. Edwina Owens Elliott, also a talented fashion illustrator, thinks she [the model] was there just for the effect. What do you think?
